The fall of a hero; "Gifted with Cancer"
By: A.A. Suleiman
I was astonished to see the reactions of people over the passing away of Ali Banat Wiki, 33. I initially thought the Australian was a renowned model, an athlete or an influential prince in the Arabian Peninsula, but to my surprise, i realized that he was just a modest business man in Sydney.
Ali Banat, a very classic and highly intelligent young man, who owns a successful enterprise in his name, a mansion in Sydney, a garage of Ferraris, wears the most expensive designers, and bangles worthing about 60,000 USD.
The saddest story began in 2015 when the youngman was diagnosed with Adenoid Cystic Carcinoma, Cancer and his doctors gave him an ultimatum of not morethan 7 months to survive, It was uneasy for the young Ali to comprehend the heartbreaking news as he was at the apex of his youthful age coupled with his affluent life style. Ali was able to survive 3 more years away from his earlier death ultimatum, until 29th May, 2018, he paid off the price in this blessed month of Ramadhan. He referred to himself as "Gifted with Cancer", and that made him very popular and it contributed immensely to the success of his compaigns and charity work.
He gave off all he has and dedicated his remaining life to serving humanity, he founded the "Muslim Around The World" (MATW), a charitable foundation mainly for supporting the ill, vulnerable and the less privileged, his foundation was able to realize more than 1million USD in a short period of time, he travelled around the globe to support the less privileged, the sick, victims of conflict and disasters. He was recently in Togo to pursue his cause for helping people, and was able to build schools, health centres and Masjids in different locations around the world.
The life of Ali Banat was indeed inpirational and exemplary, a source of good reflection to us all, he died a hero, a humanitarian, a philanthropist and a servant of God, his type of ending is rare because he spent his remaining life planning solely to face his hereafter. Perhaps, what was more intriguing prior to his demise was his composure, peace and comfort, he never felt disturbed by his conditions and his "Notice to Death". He rather continued with his charity work, recitations from the holy Qur'an and repeating the Shahadah often and often until his last breath.
May Allah have mercy on Ali Banat, may his soul rest in Jannatul Firsaus.
May we also enjoy a happy ending.
